Susie Gordon is an accomplished, awarded and nationally recognized artist. She has developed a very special style and personal voice in her art. While all of her work is excellent, she is exceptional with equine art in both drawing and painting. Oil is her medium of choice but she also enjoys Watercolor, Graphite / Charcoal and Egg Tempera.

Her studies include:
> The acclaimed Columbus College of Art and Design
(working in Fine Art Painting and Lost Wax Bronze)

> The Beartooth School of Art (with Carl Brenders)

> Susie has exhibited and sold her original artworks from 2004 through 2016 at the Southeastern Wildlife Expo in Charleston, SC.

She has won numerous Best of Shows and has been exhibited at the American Academy of Equine Art's Fall Juried Show and Exhibition held in Lexington, Kentucky International- Wild Cat 2001 Competition and show in California. Her Tiger painting "Behold" won the Sierra Endangered Cat Haven Award of Excellence.

Susie has many past artists that continue to inspire her- Sargent, Zorn, Mauve, Sir Edwin Landseer, Rosa Bonhuer, Adolph Schreyer, and today- Rien Poortlviet and Raymond Harris-Ching and countless others.

"Being inspired by these masters are just as exciting as doing my own work."

An aspect of her traditional art is children's book illustration. Look for the book titled "Skipingo Home," a true story about a race horse given a second chance. Written by Jane Lyon and Karen Bailey, it has been released by Eclipse Press . Written for the young at heart. Proceeds to benefit Old Friends Equine Sanctuary. Also Look for the second book "Primerica-A Home For the Brave", and is a true story about another overrun racehorse.

Susie enjoys spending time with her children, dogs and Friesian horses down a back-lane, country farm in Ohio, where nature and God's splendor are her daily inspiration.

Portraiture; Lesson 1; Year 2
After a 30 year successful commercial career, Richard decided to become more of a story teller with figurative works of fine art showing the emotions in the faces of everyday life. He is sought after for his ability to capture the true essence of the person. Richard's commissioned clients include Judges, CEO's and private families. From corporate to personal portraits, it is his goal to put his heart and soul in every painting.

Richard instructs master painting and drawing classes four days a week, as well as doing painting demonstrations and art lectures for art associations in Southern California. He is a co-founder and sits on the Board of The Green Art House, an arts school and artist retreat that is eco-friendly in Southern California. Richard also is the host for Put Some Colour In Your Life TV show in Southern California and parts of the United States, interviewing artists. He also teaches private lessons to advanced artists who aspire to be in galleries.

Richard's work hangs in Santa Monica, Boca Grande Florida and also sells to private collectors. His paintings have won hundreds of awards from Best of Show to People's Choice. When he is not utterly immersed in his love of the arts, he chases a little white ball around the golf course.
